An invitation-based recognition for people who can be trusted with creation at the frontier — not a hiring channel, not an internship, not a credential.

You are not merely assigned work. You are trusted to create.

01

What Fellowship is

Arc Fellowship is a recognition, not a role. Arc does not begin with positions to fill; it begins with people whose work shows unusual signal — agency, judgement, ownership, and the taste to turn ambiguity into form.

To be recognised is to be trusted with work at the boundary of research, engineering, and production. It is selective because it has to mean something.

02

What Arc gives

Proximity to frontier work — and an organisation that turns it into something lasting. Arc is an incubator; for now, what it compounds is not revenue but deep technical options — research, prototypes, substrates, and patents that may become products when the conditions are right.

So you do not simply receive a problem. You enter a place where problems become outcomes, outcomes become options, and options become products, ventures, and careers. Your ability is not reduced to labour, tickets, or attendance; it compounds into judgement, credit, and technical memory. You create inside an organisation — not alone.

And the organisation behind it is a sovereign one: Arc defines its own problems rather than taking dictated specs, and holds the means — substrate, IP, the path to spin a matured option into a venture — to turn validated work into options and products, not toys. What you reach is not a post but a foundry and a circle of peers: sovereignty and leverage that no one assembles alone.

03

How Arc works

You are given a mission — or you choose one that fits your interests and strengths — to take on independently or alongside others. Each mission is real work Arc is already pursuing or about to begin.

Arc is outcome-driven. We do not manage motion; we evaluate outcomes — no attendance, no theatre, no pushing. Work is mostly asynchronous and mission-based, and the right person needs a problem, enough context, and the trust to act.

But outcome-driven is not fire-and-forget. A mission is uncertainty worth reducing together: you bring the agency to move it; Arc brings judgement, real discussion, and a field of peers to reduce the ambiguity with you. Research and engineering are how that ambiguity becomes form. Arc looks for agency before availability — and then does not leave you to it alone.

04

The standard

Trust, here, is not assumed, performed, or granted by title. It is earned through real work — by what you do under uncertainty, not what you claim. Arc looks for four capabilities:

Agency with direction.

Learning capacity with humility.

Problem-solving under ambiguity.

Communication with discernment.

Grounded in integrity.

None of this is read from credentials or a polished interview; it is cultivated and recognised through real work — capability, not performance theatre. A Fellow may be a researcher, engineer, strategist, builder, or exceptional student: the form differs, the standard does not.

To be recognised by Arc means that, even in difficult seasons, you are still seen as someone capable of frontier work.

APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMME

A pathway, not a promise.

Most Fellows are recognised directly, through real work. The Apprenticeship Programme is one structured way in — a real-work pathway for exceptional students and early contributors who show the possibility but aren't yet Fellows. It cultivates and earns trust; it does not guarantee Fellowship. Strong apprentices may become Fellows, Associates, or long-term collaborators.

Real work qualifies. Apprenticeship cultivates. Fellowship recognises.

INVITATION

Arc Fellowship is invitation-based. It usually begins through prior work, trusted referral, or demonstrated alignment with Arc's mission. If Arc's work resonates with you, write to us with a concise account of your work, your interests, and evidence of agency.

We are not looking for people who want to be included. We are looking for people who can be trusted with creation.
